PRICING AND CONTRACTS
Development Contract
FarSight and Client will sign a contract fully describing the requirements before commencing work. Pricing is based on the scope of your design and payments are made as the you approve each phase of the project. A typical pricing schedule for a site developed with Dreamweaver is $500 for the home page (requires the most conceptual design work as this page establishes the look and navigation for your entire site) and $150 for each additional page. Special features such as e-commerce (shopping carts), audio/video, unique forms or interactive elements will add to the cost. Template based designs using platforms such as WordPress and SquareSpace will be less expensive.
Conceptual Design Phase
The purpose of this phase is to determine and finalize the design of the Home Page with all required content and navigation. This will serve as a “template” for subsequent pages.
Development Phase
Upon your approval of the Home Page and navigation design, we will discuss and agree on the design and content of the remaining pages.
Publishing Phase
Upon completion of the website to your complete satisfaction and upon receipt of final payment FarSight will publish the site to your hosting service and make it active.
Maintenance Contract
If you so desire, FarSight will be happy to maintain your website for you. This will require a separate contract the scope of which is described below.
General Provisions:
1. FarSight will maintain a backup copy of all code necessary to restore Client’s Website.
2. Client will provide Farsight with the Logon ID and Password necessary to access administrative rights with the Domain’s hosting company.
3. The Client will select and establish an account with a hosting company.
4. It is incumbent on Client to notify Farsight of any problems encountered with any browser in properly rendering its Website and its functionality.
5. Farsight will check the Website quarterly for any broken links, images and other interactive elements and will promptly correct same.
6. This Agreement may be cancelled by either party for any reason with 30 days written notice provided payment is up-to-date.
Included Work:
1. Repair of existing code, broken images, broken links and all other malfunctioning code or components.
2. Revision to and editing of existing content including text, images and links.
3. FTP of revisions and repairs to Client’s domain on the hosting company’s servers.
4. Reinstallation on the hosting company’s servers of the Website should the site crash or otherwise require re-installation.
Excluded/Enhancement Work (quoted separately if requested):
1. Modifications to the graphic design of the Website.
2. Changes to the navigation structure.
3. Adding pages or new functionality.
4. Work outside of the original file structure or domain name of the Website.
Maintenance Fee:
As the level and frequency of included work maintenance varies widely from client-to-client, billing is usually done on an hourly basis. FarSight's hourly rate is currently $50/hr.
